The 'surveillance' R Package

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 5 (2 votes)

The R-package ’surveillance’ is a framework for the development and the evaluation of outbreak detection algorithms in univariate and multivariate routine collected public health surveillance data. Hence, potential users are biostatisticians, epidemiologists and others working in applied infectious disease epidemiology. However, applications could just as well originate from environmetrics, reliability engineering, econometrics or social sciences.

Simulation Open Framework Architecture (SOFA)

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 4.2 (6 votes)

SOFA is an Open Source framework primarily targeted at real-time simulation, with an emphasis on medical simulation. It is mostly intended for the research community to help develop newer algorithms, but can also be used as an efficient prototyping tool.

Epigrass

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 2.7 (3 votes)

Epigrass is a open-source simulation platform created to study epidemics and their spatial (geographic) dinamics.

Epigrass was developed as a scientific project, by the founders of Metamodellers at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. Currently, Metamodellers is the main maintainer of the code, ensuring its continuous improvement while remaining a completely free tool.

Brainstorm

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 1 (18 votes)

Brainstorm is a collaborative open-source Matlab application dedicated to magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography(EEG) data visualization, processing and cortical source estimation.
The intention is to make a comprehensive set of tools available to the scientific community involved in MEG/EEG experimental research.
For physicians and researchers, the interest of this software package resides in its rich and intuitive graphic interface, which does not require any programming knowledge.

OpenIGTLink

Rating:
Your rating: None Average: 4 (4 votes)

The goal of OpenIGTLink is to provide a standardized mechanism to connect software/hardware through the network for image-guided therapy (IGT) applications. The features of OpenIGTLink include:

MassChroQ

Rating:
No votes yet

MassChroQ (Mass Chromatogram Quantification) software performs quantification of data obtained from mass-spectrometry techniques. It is particularly well suited for peptide quantification of LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry) data. It performs chromatographic alignment, XIC extraction, peak detection and quantification on identified peptides, with or without isotopic labeling, on high or low resolution data and it takes into account peptide or protein fractionation.

SCIRun

Rating:
No votes yet

SCIRun is a problem solving environment or "computational workbench" in which a user selects software modules that can be connected in a visual programing environment to create a high level workflow for experimentation. Each module exposes all the available parameters necessary for scientists to adjust the outcome of their simulation or visualization. The networks in SCIRun are flexible enough to enable duplication of networks and creation of new modules.
