Aim
To enable a diverse community of researchers and practitioners to rigorously investigate the technology, work practices, development processes, community dynamics within free, libre and open source software (OSS) systems, complementing appropriately other IFIP Working Groups where OSS is increasingly relevant.
Medical Open Source Software Council (MOSS) have organized seminars to promote open source software in medical fields in Japan.
Open Source Electronic Health Record Agent (OSEHRA) is the central governing body of an open source community designed to unleash innovation in electronic health record software. Initiated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and seeded with VA’s VistA electronic health record, OSEHRA welcomes participation from everyone – in government, industry, and academia – who has an interest in advancing EHR technology and its impact on health care.
The Alembic Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transformation through disruptive innovation. We promote the use of open technologies and advocate for empowerment of the individual.
At Lisog, our central theme is "Integrating Open Source and Proprietary Software" and our activities concentrate on interoperability between open source and proprietary software.
The "Open Source software usage by European Public Administrations (OSEPA)" Project comes under INTERREG IVC Programme which aims, by means of interregional cooperation, to improve the effectiveness of regional development policies and contribute to economic modernisation and increased competitiveness of Europe. The INTERREG IVC Programme is part of the European Territorial Cooperation Objective of the Structural Fund policies for the period 2007-2013 and it is financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
