Code4Health is a programme managed by NHS England to enable the best use to be made of digital tools and technology to deliver safe, high quality, efficient and compassionate care. It aims to educate and inform all participants in the health and care community: citizens, patients, carers, health, care and digital professionals about the possibilities digital technologies open up in health and care and equip them with the tools, knowledge and skills to work together to develop and implement high quality digital solutions.

Joinup is a new collaborative platform created by the European Commission and funded by the European Union via the Interoperability Solutions for Public Administrations (ISA) Programme. It offers a new set of services to help e-Government professionals share their experience with interoperability solutions and support them to find, choose, re-use, develop, and implement open source software and semantic interoperability assets.

Open Source Community for Healthcare

Collaborative ecosystem that fosters interoperable software solutions in Healthcare to support improved patient-centred care; challenges more traditional software development approaches, share development, increase speed of development, quality and value for money.

The eHealth Open Source ecosystem was initiated by a 2-year KTP project led by Data Standards and Products, Technology Office, the UK department of Health Informatics Directorate and the University of York.

The Open Source Observatory and Repository for European public administrations (OSOR.eu) supports and encourages the collaborative development and re-use of publicly-financed free, libre and open source software (F/OSS) applications developments for use in European public administrations. It is a platform for exchanging information, experiences and F/OSS-based code. It also promotes and links to the work of national repositories, encouraging the emergence of a pan-European federation of open source software repositories.
