DeVIDE, or the Delft Visualisation and Image processing Development Environment, is a cross-platform software framework for the rapid prototyping, testing and deployment of visualisation and image processing algorithms. The software was developed within the Visualisation group. DeVIDE's primary (and currently only) front-end is a data-flow boxes-and-lines network editor. In this regard, it is very similar to AVS, OpenDX, Khoros or VISSION. DeVIDE integrates functionality from libraries such as VTK, ITK, GDCM, DCMTK, numpy and matplotlib. It is being very actively developed.
Orthanc aims at providing a simple, yet powerful standalone DICOM server. Orthanc can turn any computer running Windows or Linux into a DICOM store (in other words, a mini-PACS system). Its architecture is lightweight, meaning that no complex database administration is required, nor the installation of third-party dependencies.
DicomBrowser is an application for inspecting and modifying DICOM metadata in many files at once. A single imaging session can produce thousands of DICOM files; DicomBrowser allows users to view and edit a whole session—or even multiple sessions—at once. Users can save the original or modified files to disk, or send them across a network to a DICOM C-STORE service class provider, such as a PACS or an XNAT.
Dicoogle PACS is a distributed medical image system and offers the following features:
The "MITO - Medical Imaging TOolkit" project coagulates a number of activities aimed at defining and implementing an open-source, cross-platform software architecture for advanced Medical Imaging. MITO toolkit makes it possible to fetch radiological information and images stored in a PACS according to the standard format DICOM, then provides the final user with basic functionalities such as 2D-3D visualization (VR, SR, MIP), image segmentation and fusion, ROI. Moreover, MITO provides interaction techniques for manipulating 3D medical data in a virtual environment by 2 DOF input devices.
MassChroQ (Mass Chromatogram Quantification) software performs quantification of data obtained from mass-spectrometry techniques. It is particularly well suited for peptide quantification of LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry) data. It performs chromatographic alignment, XIC extraction, peak detection and quantification on identified peptides, with or without isotopic labeling, on high or low resolution data and it takes into account peptide or protein fractionation.
Aurion is an open source health information exchange platform that implements the Nationwide Health Information Network standard services and content specifications. Aurion is the first project chartered through the Alembic Foundation. This software enables the secure exchange of interoperable health information among diverse organizations using a wide variety of technologies.
Weka is a collection of machine learning algorithms for data mining tasks. The algorithms can either be applied directly to a dataset or called from your own Java code. Weka contains tools for data pre-processing, classification, regression, clustering, association rules, and visualization. It is also well-suited for developing new machine learning schemes.
Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing XDS.b is a Microsoft Connected Health Platform Solution Accelerator based on the IHE (www.ihe.net) XDS.b integration profile. XDS.b facilitates the registration, distribution and access across health enterprises of patient electronic information in document format.
The Solution Accelerator implements the XDS.b Document Registry with the Async option and the XDS.b Document Repository with the Async option.
GIMIAS is a workflow-oriented environment for solving advanced biomedical image computing and individualized simulation problems, which is extensible through the development of problem-specific plug-ins. In addition, GIMIAS provides an open source framework for efficient development of research and clinical software prototypes integrating contributions from the Physiome community while allowing business-friendly technology transfer and commercial product development.
GIMIAS suites are collections of prototypes that build a complete platform for one or more clinical applications.
