PsychoPy is an open-source application to allow the presentation of stimuli and collection of data for a wide range of neuroscience, psychology and psychophysics experiments. It’s a free, powerful alternative to Presentation™ or e-Prime™ . It’s written in Python (a free alternative to Matlab™ ) and combines the graphical strengths of OpenGL with the easy Python syntax to give psychophysics a free and simple stimulus presentation and control package.

Opereffa

Opereffa stands for openEHR REFerence Framework and Application. It is a project for creating an open source clinical application which will be driven by the Clinical Review Board of openEHR. The clinical application will be built on top of a Java based open source framework, which is using the existing open source Java reference implementation of openEHR.

The main function of a terminology server is the computer-aided representation/expostulation of medical terminologies as well as offering services to access them (completely or partially) and attribute based code systems.

The terminology server of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund is a composition of several web services and provides a terminology browser to display and maintain the content.
A collaboration environment supports the development of terminologies in a team. Moreover a command line tool to import Code Systems and Values Sets is included.

MOLGENIS was born from molecular genetics research (and was called 'molecular genetics information system') but has grown, thanks too many sponsors and contributors, to be used in many scientifc areas such as biobanking, rare disease research, patient registries and even energy research. MOLGENIS provides researchers with user friendly and scalable software infrastructures to capture, exchange, and exploit the large amounts of data that is being produced by scientific organisations all around the world.

ResearchStack

ResearchStack is an SDK and UX framework for building research study apps on Android.

It is designed from the ground up to meet the requirements of most scientific research, including capturing participant consent, extensible input tasks, and the security and privacy needs necessary for IRB approval.

Is it similar to Apple's ResearchKit(TM)?

Yes, an overarching goal of ResearchStack is to help developers and researchers with existing apps on iOS more easily adapt those apps for Android.

It is a web based collaboration tool that addresses the common coordination problems during a disaster from finding missing people, managing aid, managing volunteers, tracking camps effectively between Government groups, the civil society (NGOs) and the victims themselves.

i2b2

i2b2 (Informatics for Integrating Biology and the Bedside) is an NIH-funded National Center for Biomedical Computing based at Partners HealthCare System. The i2b2 Center is developing a scalable informatics framework that will enable clinical researchers to use existing clinical data for discovery research and, when combined with IRB-approved genomic data, facilitate the design of targeted therapies for individual patients with diseases having genetic origins. This platform currently enjoys wide international adoption by the CTSA network, academic health centers, and industry.
