The Project HealthDesign Common Platform is a set of software components that provide common, shared functions to a variety of personal health applications (PHAs). The goal of “centralizing” these functions is to reduce personal health application implementation time and increase interoperability among the PHAs. The common platform components are currently implemented as web services that PHAs may access via standard web interfaces. Services exist for storing observations and medications, as well as for providing authentication, registry, and access-control functions.

FreeDiams

FreeDiams prescriber is the result of FreeMedForms prescriber plugins built into a standalone application. FreeDiams is a multi-platform (MacOS, Linux, FreeBSD, Windows), free and open source.

It is developed by medical doctors and is intended for use by these same professionals. It can be used alone to prescribe and / or test drug interactions within a prescription. It can be linked to any application thanks to its command line parameters. Available drugs databases : USA (FDA), Canadian (HCDPD), French (AFSSAPS), South African (SAEPI).

openCDMS

The openCDMS project is a community effort to develop a robust, commercial-grade, full-featured and open source clinical data management system for studies and trials. The philosophy behind openCDMS is to enable clinical researchers to manage the full life cycle of their clinical research project, from design through to archiving, without any specialist knowledge of databases or IT systems.

openCDMS provides purpose built visual tools the enable clinical researchers to design, develop, implement, and manage large scale, multi-centre studies and trials quickly and easily.

Dcm4che

dcm4che is a collection of open source applications and utilities for the healthcare enterprise. These applications have been developed in the Java programming language for performance and portability, supporting deployment on JDK 1.4 and up.

At the core of the dcm4che project is a robust implementation of the DICOM standard. The dcm4che-1.x DICOM toolkit is used in many production applications across the world, while the current (2.x) version of the toolkit has been re-architected for high performance and flexibility.
