The R-package ’surveillance’ is a framework for the development and the evaluation of outbreak detection algorithms in univariate and multivariate routine collected public health surveillance data. Hence, potential users are biostatisticians, epidemiologists and others working in applied infectious disease epidemiology. However, applications could just as well originate from environmetrics, reliability engineering, econometrics or social sciences.

CTSim

CTSim simulates the process of transmitting X-rays through phantom objects. These X-ray data are called projections. CTSim reconstructs the original phantom image from the projections using a variety of algorithms. Additionally, CTSim has a wide array of image analysis and image processing functions.

The 'DiagnosisMed' R Package

DiagnosisMed is a package to analyze data from diagnostic test accuracy evaluating health conditions. It is being built to be used by health professionals. This package is able to estimate sensitivity and specificity from categorical and continuous test results including some evaluations of indeterminate results, or compare different categorical tests, and estimate reasonble cut-offs of tests and display it in a way commonly used by health professionals. No graphical interface is avalible yet. Partners are most welcome.

C# ECG Toolkit is an open source software toolkit to convert, view and print electrocardiograms. The toolkit is developed using C# .NET 1.1 & 2.0. Support for ECG formats: SCP-ECG, DICOM and HL7 aECG.

STIR

STIR is Open Source software for use in tomographic imaging. Its aim is to provide a Multi-Platform Object-Oriented framework for all data manipulations in tomographic imaging. Currently, the emphasis is on (iterative) image reconstruction in PET, but other application areas and imaging modalities can and might be added.

STIR is the successor of the PARAPET software library which was the result of a (European Union funded) collaboration between 6 different partners (see Credits).

Simulation Open Framework Architecture (SOFA)

SOFA is an Open Source framework primarily targeted at real-time simulation, with an emphasis on medical simulation. It is mostly intended for the research community to help develop newer algorithms, but can also be used as an efficient prototyping tool.

XMedCon

The project stands for Medical Image Conversion. Released under the (L)GPL licence, it comes with the full C-source code of the library, a flexible command-line utility and a neat graphical front-end using the Gtk+ toolkit. The supported formats are: Acr/Nema 2.0, Analyze (SPM), Concorde/µPET, DICOM 3.0, CTI ECAT 6/7, NIfTI-1, InterFile3.3 and PNG or Gif87a/89a.
