We believe that you own your own diabetes data. It’s your disease, so it’s your data. If you would like to donate your data to an anonymous database, we’ll make that easy. If you’d like to share data with your doctor, we’ll make that easy, too.

We believe that diabetes data should be easily accessible through a secure, modern platform that enables a vibrant ecosystem of applications.

We believe in great design, that mobile and web applications should be elegant, intuitive and easy to use. We believe that with the right context, data can be meaningful and actionable.

We know that managing Type 1 diabetes is hard. There are lots of things to keep track of. We believe that whatever we do, our job is to help make it just a little bit easier.

Building a Secure, Open Platform

We’ve developed a platform that is a home for diabetes data and the apps that use it. To encourage other creative minds to build on the platform and adapt it, everything is developed in the open with source code freely available to everyone.

The Tidepool Platform is secure and HIPAA-compliant. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to make sure your data is safe.
Building Better Apps

T_biggerWe built the Tidepool Uploader to make it easier to get data off of diabetes devices. We built Blip so that you can see all of your data in one place. We built Blip Notes so that you can add context to your data. And we are building Nutshell to make it easier to learn from past meals and exercise.

We’ve just scratched the surface of what’s possible.
