- Open eHealth Foundation - Agfa HealthCare, InterComponentWare (ICW), Sun Microsystems Inc. and the Center for Information and Medical Engineering of the University Hospital Heidelberg have joined as foundation members the new Open eHealth Foundation. The Open eHealth Foundation will provide software components under an Open Source license that will boost the open standards-based exchange of medical information.
- Open Healthcare Framework - The Eclipse Open Healthcare Framework (OHF) is a project within Eclipse formed for the purpose of expediting healthcare informatics technology. The project is composed of extensible frameworks and tools which emphasize the use of existing and emerging standards in order to encourage interoperable open source infrastructure, thereby lowering integration barriers.
- Open Health Tools - Open Health Tools is an open source community with a vision of enabling a ubiquitous ecosystem where members of the Health and IT professions can collaborate to build interoperable systems that enable patients and their care providers to have access to vital and reliable medical information at the time and place it is needed.
- Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for Health Web Portal - aims to build a FOSS for eHealth Online Community - a venue for networking and exchanging ideas and experience on FOSS use, best practices and business models for sustainability aside from providing online support to FOSS adopters and making available FOSS resources. foss-for-health.org is part of the Open Source and Standards PCTA (PANACeA Common Thematic Activities) that hopes to help create awareness of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in eHealth, promote its use and build both capacity and support for those starting to adopt it. PANACeA is the PAN Asian Collaboration for Evidence-based eHealth Adoption and Application (PANACeA).
