Question on Lab ordering interfacing
I'm with a growing medical laboratory that does numerous data communications interfaces, VPN and SFTP, with a large number of EMRs. I'm exploring whether there's an opportunity for a laboratory to do an electronic interface that would allow individual clinics using RPMS to place orders in RPMS and have the lab test results file back into the patient charts within RPMS?
If RPMS doesn't have an electronic ordering module, another option would be to use a third party Web based tool, such as Emdeon's Clinician, to place orders. Then could the order results file back to RPMS either directly or through Clinician?
Has anyone done any interfaces with RPMS?
Thanks

UTILIZATION OF MALARIA TEST RESULTS IN TREATMENT
I am a master of science student in public health intending to carryout a research on the above topic in selected hospitals in Kenya for my thesis. Any one with an input or who has carried out a similar study elsewhere to share ideas with me or give professional hints in this area. Welcome.
Thanks .
